Krista Jacob | she/her/hers
Events & Non-Profit Business Manager
Krista has been an Ypsi local for more than ten years after moving here to earn a journalism degree from Eastern Michigan University. She spent time as a reporter and editor at the now-defunct Ypsilanti Courier before diving into event management with Arbor Brewing Company at the Corner Brewery. When she’s not running the day-to-day operations at the Freighthouse, she’s writing for various publications including The Bad Copy, the Adrian Telegram and more.

Julie Palmer | she/her/hers
Assistant Events Manager
Julie, a graduate of the University of Michigan, is passionate about community and collaboration. She is an active Ypsilanti resident, contributing many hours of creative consulting and location design to community events and city festivals, including the West Cross Cider Festival. You can often spot Julie around her beloved city setting up for an upcoming event or brainstorming fun and interactive ways to engage residents. Julie is also the owner of JEM Events, an event design, planning, and production company that specializes in creating meaningful experiences for clients.

Hannah Williamson | she/her/hers
Assistant Events Manager
Following her passion for community building and her loving partner, Hannah has been a proud Ypsi resident since 2015 after earning a degree is Arts Management from the University of Hartford.
Along with working at the Freighthouse, you can spot Hannah bartending at 734 Brewing Company. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time running her weekly knitting group at Cultivate, making art, and cooking spicy food.
